I’m not sure how a best-selling, award-winning author can write yet another winner, but Hank Phillippi Ryan has done just that with The First to Lie.  The surprise ending will delight you, but not before the myriad of twists and turns will have you seeing double.  

No one is as they appear. The characters are engaging and memorable, but their secrets and motivations will keep you turning pages until the end.  Ryan will certainly win another award for this book.  Her ability to add depth to her characters through description and action is surpassed only by her plotting. 

This thriller draws you in with an emotionally charged and relatable topic, and the unexpected reveals pull you through to an inevitable but unexpected end.  The First to Lie is a definite must read.
